DESCRIPTION:        

In this newly created role the chosen candidate will be responsible for the direction and execution of research in support of product value strategies from a health outcomes and pharmacoeconomics perspective for assigned products and therapy areas within US marketed products, encompassing health economics, patient-reported outcomes, epidemiology, decision analyses and pricing-reimbursement.   Interfaces with cross-functional teams including marketing, managed markets, and medical affairs to align strategies and direct communications of HOPE Field activities.

Job Qualifications        

-Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, statistics, health economics or a clinical discipline.
-Minimum 5 years in Outcomes research/pharmacoeconomics experience either within industry and/or provider/payer organizations.
-Demonstrated applied research experience in conducting health economic, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies.
-Experience in analyzing and collecting patient-reported outcomes and claims databases. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in and lead cross-functional teams.

Must Have: Expertise in the design and execution of health outcomes studies, including the writing of protocols and analytic plans for prospective and retrospective research methodologies. The application of decision analytic and health economic models for product value assessment and comparison. Development of professional relationships with customers, key opinion leaders and peers. Outstanding communications skills with a broad variety of audiences. Demonstrated strategic and conceptual skills to develop innovative approaches for demonstrating product value and differentiation.
