JOB DESCRIPTION

              Plant Operational Excellence Manager


 A very prestigious manufacturing company located in the Lancaster PA area, is looking to hire a Plant Operational Excellence Manager this position would report to the Divisional Operational Excellence Manager. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodology and analytics to specific projects at the manufacturing plant.The employee will be working in a plant environment  


RESPONSIBILITIES  



  • Use appropriate process improvement tools and methodologies to lead Lean Six Sigma projects that deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits


Partner with Process Owners and Champions to drive results.     Train and coach Green Belts and project teams in the proper use of Lean and Six Sigma process improvement tools and methodologies to ensure timely completion of projects  Act as change agent to instill a Lean Six Sigma culture throughout the organization.Monitor performance and improvements in key metrics; support process owners to clearly link project metrics to strategic operational objectives using Business Process Management principles Design and deliver presentations and facilitated work sessions to plant senior management.   


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 



  • Must have a BS degree in Engineering,



  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

  • Must have Six Sigma Black Belt Certification; Formal Lean training

  • 3 years of process improvement experience in a unionized heavy manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years experience leading and executing process improvement projects in a dedicated Lean Six Sigma position.

  • Must have completed 4-5 manufacturing related projects using Lean Six Sigma techniques and several projects using the DMAIC process.

  • Capable of using statistical tools such as DOE, Comparative Analysis, Regression Analysis, ANOVA, SPC, Gage R&R and FMEA.

  • Demonstrated strengths in project management processes and methodologies.

  • Collaborative work style with ability to influence others.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results with a flexible, adaptable style that recognizes organizational culture norms.
