Production Manager

This person will oversee day-to-day manufacturing and production. Key duties include management of personnel, budgets, and quality.

Other responsibilities include:

• Ensure all requirements are met for the introduction of new products and for improvements of existing processes and systems.


• Work within scheduling constraints, comply with quality and safety requirements and plan material delivery and use.


• Manage and respond to customer and scheduling demands to include emergency and special production requirements. 


• Manage personnel to include the completion of all regulatory (PSM and RMP) and recertification training, and performance and development programs.


• Drive quality initiatives in cooperation with engineering department to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and product costs of manufacturing processes.


• Plan and communicate budget and resource requirements, provide product costing and efficiency utilizations.


• Ensure quality standards are met in operations, participate in and support quality management system, including internal and external audits.


• Member of Emergency Response Team.

Requirements:

• Must have a BS in Chemical Engineering


• Must have at least 8-10 years of Chemical Manufacturing Experience (prefer specialty or pharmaceutical)


• Must have at least 5 years of Management Experience


• Must be have a strong understanding of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing


• Must have experience with creating and managing budget development


• Must have strong organizational and communication skills


• Strong computer skills a must. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office, SAP, LIMS, and Lotus Notes.
