Mass Spectrometry R&D Engineering Manager - MR0809...

Position Description:

1. In this role you will be responsible for developing time-of-flight and quadrupole based mass-spectrophotometers. These will be integrated with front-end systems for general-purpose uses.  These analyzers will be targeted to customers in multiple industry markets.
   
2. You will develop these products through management of multidisciplinary teams of engineers, developing instrument modules, and integrating them into a finished product. In addition to the core systems, you will be responsible for developing ancillary systems for many different chemical species and samples.
   
3. This will be a highly interactive position, working closely with the other front-end systems development teams, releasing a family of products and solutions for customers in the Environmental, Food, Consumer Product, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Energy and Materials Analysis industries.

Qualifications:

1.       You must have a Masters or PhD in Chemistry, Engineering or Physics with at least 7 years experience developing mass spectrometer products.

2.       You are currently in an Engineering or Product Development Manager role, leading teams of multidisciplinary engineers in the technical development of mass spectroscopy products and their release to manufacturing.

3.       Also must have an excellent understanding of current customer needs and the state of the art in Mass Spectroscopy Instrumentation.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base compensation will be commensurate with the experience: nominally within the $100,000-$120,000 range, but could range somewhat higher for an outstanding leader.
