JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION OVERVIEW 


Develops and implements training programs for Sales and Sales Management.   


Establishes objectives for, and creates, develops, and administers a training program including sales techniques and presentations, product and product applications information, group referencing, and role play. 


Provides materials and developmental support to sales regions and for presentations at conferences or sales meetings. 


May work closely with Product Management and Marketing to develop a sales strategy and then incorporates the sales strategy into training programs.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsible for designing and implementing in house and field training programs for sales and sales management.


Develop, lead and maintain sales training programs for all Patient Sales Staff including on-boarding process. Assess current training programs including training tools. 


Determine sales training needs by evaluating current competencies and long/short term goals of Patient Sales include a transition to solutions based selling. 


Align training programs to strategic plan and business objectives to include integration of potential new acquisitions and new product launches.  


Develop and implement an effective training program and training tools for each user using innovative and best practice approach to continuous learning and development of the sales team. 


Partner with sales leaders, product education and marketing teams to evaluate and prioritize training needs, planning, resource allocation and implementation plans.  


Incorporate value proposition of Company branding, product education benefits as well as economic modeling to ensure effective sales approach. 


Develop metrics to measure success of training initiatives, responsive to customer needs and return on investment of all training programs.  


Continuously evaluate and revise lesson plans and training tools.  Coordinate customer training programs.


 


MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS


 


 


Bachelor’s degree in related field.  Master’s degree preferred. 


Minimum of 7+ years of training experience with a focus on sales training.  Experience with the medical device industry is preferred.   


 


Prior sales experience in medical device sales including capital equipment with demonstrated knowledge of industry, hospital and OR protocol.   We will consider candidates with biotech experience.  Regretfully candidates with pharma experience are not a match for this role.


 


Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales training curriculum and programs resulting in increased competencies and results. 


 


Demonstrated ability to develop a curriculum to ensure effective learning, mastery and application within the sales force of complex clinical, product and economic models.
