These projects will implement the technology by converting biomass, petroleum coke or coal to ultra-clean fuels.
Provide engineering oversight and technical support for the commercial development of projects (Biomass, Coal or Gas) from conception through pre-Front End Engineering and Design (FEED). This individual will be responsible for understanding the technical needs of the project and managing the execution of the engineering necessary to support those needs.
Develop process simulations using commercial software (Hysys & Aspen) to model plant operations. Where appropriate, coordinate technical input for feedstock selection and assist in the evaluation and selection of the most optimum feedstocks based on both technical and economical considerations. Manage technology licensor interfaces (gasification, gas cleaning, product upgrading and related).
We seek a multi-talented technical professional with a degree in Engineering, advanced degrees or MBA is a plus. A minimum of seven years of operating company experience (both design and operations) preferably in a petrochemical plant or refinery environment. Specific experience working as a client with major engineering and construction companies in chemical plants, refineries or other industrial process applications would be a plus. Prior experience in gasification and leading small focused teams of technical people would be a plus. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of processes and equipment utilized in the chemical and refining industry. Requires process simulation experience using Hysys, Aspen or Pro II and the ability to use project scheduling software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, cost estimating software and other Microsoft office applications. The position will require travel up to 30% as needed to support projects.
