Company Profile:



  • The Company is a first-time manager of a recently formed real estate private equity fund. The fund will deploy $800M-$2B of capital for the acquisition of 5,000-10,000 foreclosed residential properties and distressed mortgage notes in the New York metropolitan area over the next four years.  The Company will leverage the vast experience and substantial track record of its principals to implement a variety of asset management and exit strategies to maximize the value of the portfolio.


Position:



  • The Company is seeking a highly-motivated, highly-organized detail-oriented individual to assume a senior management position in the Company, responsible for managing the operations of the Company.  General responsibilities include: coordinating with 4-5 managers in four satellite office locations to oversee business operations including acquisition activity, sales activity, cost monitoring, and construction activity; managing and continually reporting information and trends related to the fund’s operations; aggregating, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data from satellite locations to determine strategic changes to fund operations.

  • In addition to the 4-5 office managers who will report directly to the COO, this position will have two other direct reports: i) a Head Construction Foreman whose primary responsibilities will be to oversee the construction activities of the fund and to manage a Construction Foreman in each of the four satellite locations; and ii) a Head of Legal whose primary responsibilities will involve handling the necessary legal issues related to the fund’s operations (i.e. vet regulation and licensing issues, oversee and monitor closing attorneys, perform legal due diligence and title review on investment acquisitions etc.)

  • The COO will report directly to the fund’s principals


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ year experience in residential real estate operations, accounting, finance, or development

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage and operate a highly capital-intensive business with substantial transactional activity
