The candidate will manage a cell culture development team in the development of efficient vaccine manufacturing processes for live, subunit and/or recombinant protein vaccines. Technology development may require the use of a wide range of production platforms including mammalian or insect cell culture and/or microbial fermentation based technologies as well as other new technologies. Lead cell cloning, production cell line selection and testing efforts as required for new vaccine candidates.
