The primary responsibility of the Director of Clinical Affairs is to assure the scientific integrity of assigned clinical research activities, while placing the safety and well-being of clinical research subjects above all other considerations. As a specialist in the area of clinical research, the individual in this job provides expert direction to development teams through direct participation in, and medical oversight of, clinical research protocols within one or more therapeutic areas.
