Work effectively with teams of engineers, chemists, operators, machinists, and managers to design new pilot plants and/or solve issues with current pilot plants. - Research and test catalytic material for the conversion of biomass-derived compounds to value added products. - Develop kinetic models for chemical reaction networks. - Conduct catalyst lifetime testing, determine deactivation mechanism, and develop associated catalyst regeneration procedures. - Work with Catalyst Group on synthesis and characterization of catalytic materials.
